There are many ruins to visit around Sedona. National Monuments of Cliff Dwellings ruins and Pueblo Dwelling ruins, and many petroglyphs. Here is a link to a blog site which has good pictures and gives good information on some easily accessible petroglyphs near Sedona.

The Sharlot Hall Museum is an active musuem resource for history in the Prescott, Arizona area. One of the interesting subjects to read about is the discussion on what happened when the 1918 Spanish Flu hit the area.

Also, for Sedona an interesting historical point of interest is Cook’s Cedar Glade Cemetary. Pioneer cemetary first used in the Sedona area as a burial site during the 1918 flu epidemic.
Also buried in the Cook’s Cedar Glade Cemetary is the person Sedona was named after: Sedona Schnebly ( see SedonaAZ.gov )
